Position Description :
The newly formed Training Committee of the Knowledge & Community Programs and Activities Board will review and update existing materials related to the skills and knowledge that a volunteer needs at each level of leadership within the K&C volunteer structure, a.k.a. the Body of Knowledge (BOK). It will develop and implement an annual training plan to address those elements of the BOK which are unique to the K&C Sector. The annual training plan will include face-to-face conferences, webinars, online self-study materials and information that can be downloaded for local use. Members of the K&C Training Committee will work closely with others within ASME who also provide or plan to provide training or content for volunteer leaders. The Training Committee is supported by ASME staff. |

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Experience :
Members of the Training Committee should have some experience in ASME leadership positions. Experience in training or leadership development is desirable. However, membership on this committee could be viewed as entry into greater ASME participation and all interested members are encouraged to apply. |

Currently, the training committee does not have funding for face-to-face meetings. However, members may travel to specific training events, such as the Leadership Training Conference.
